New year..new me?

First of January..never really the best day to enforce New Year's resolutions...the big, family Ne'erday dinner calls and there's no chance of me starting any kind of healthy eating regime until after the birthday party I'm going to on Saturday! So..the new me (mark 3) begins on Monday the 5th of January! I was here last year, all fired up and certain that this time I was going to do it. Somehow I just don't have the fight this year. Still going to give it my best shot. I suppose I've told myself that I will do this so many times, that even I have stopped beleiving that I will. Doesn't sound like the best attitude for a brave new year, but even though I may not be as raring to go and convinced that I will 'do it' as I was in January 2008, I'm still optimistic. I love coming around to the start of a whole new year. It appeals to my personality to think that I have this fresh, unsullied sheet and days and weeks in front of me to be different this time!

So..yeah...I want this mainly to be a diet blog, but here are the full list of BIG RESOLUTIONS, to be stuck to and for me to look back on in 2010 and say 'I did that'!!! (fingers crossed!)


1. Slim to 10stones. Think this is about a 3 stone loss (haven't weighed myself yet!)
2. Be organised in my life..from getting up earlier for work, to being more responsible financially!
3. Improve my riding, pass BHS Stage 1, and have fun with Mags
4. Have a great summer holiday
5. Do more with Rufus the Dog..back to training and start agility
6. GO TO THE GYM!!!

So..got all those wonderful intentions..but they start on Monday! Today I am going to my Mummy's, for a massive dinner, lots of alcohol and laughs, and the second last blow out from the 'old me'! Back on the wagon this time next week!
